My family and I recently travelled to Colorado for the first time and wanted to get a taste of the rockies/some outdoor adventure. A friend recommended we travel down to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. The website for Garden of the Gods is very accessible and offers a dozen different outdoor activities to do around the park -- of course, the jeep tour stood out to us! After checking in on the day of the tour, we were greeted by our wonderful guide, Mr. Calliham. He was a great driver and very knowledgeable of the area and its history. One thing that stood out was his stash of vintage photographs of different hot spots in the park -- every time we would pass by a hot spot (an old railway that passed through a tunnel, for example), he would pass back a vintage photo of a railway worker for all of us to see. As someone who loves history, this was AWESOME! In the jeep, one gets to see amazing views of the park, mountains, and insane rock formations. Mr. Calliham even stopped the jeep several times to allow us to take photos. In total, the tour was two hours long -- I think the length of the tour, sights, and our charismatic guide was well worth the price. If you're ever in CO Springs, I'd highly recommend checking out Garden of the Gods and booking a jeep tour!
