Explore a remote national park less than an hour's drive from the lush resorts of greater Palm Springs. Wonder at the otherworldly plants and rock formations in a unique, and wild desert setting. THIS IS A RUGGED, 4x4 ONLY TRAIL. For those wanting a smoother experience and to see more of the park highlights please consider our Joshua Tree Driving/Van Tour. We don't recommend it for anyone with any back injuries, with any neck injuries, anyone that is pregnant or gets car sick easily. Age limit is 6 years old. This is group tour.
This activity has a 2 person requirement for the tour to run. If you are a single rider, please call first.
NOTICE: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2025 ALL JOSHUA TREE TOURS WILL REQUIRE GUESTS TO PAY THEIR OWN $15 ENTRY FEE UPON ENTERING THE PARK. ENTRY FEES WILL NO LONGER BE INCLUDED IN THE BIG WHEEL TOURS PRICING. PLEASE COME PREPARED WITH A FORM OF PAYMENT (CREDIT CARD) TO ACCOMMODATE THIS NEW POLICY. THANK YOU!

Ben was our tour guide/driver today. He was very knowledgeable and made our trip a lot of fun! We had our two children with us ages 20 and 14. I was worried they would be bored however the off road gave them enough excitement then just a leisure drive through the park. We were also able to get out and do a little climbing on some of the rock formations. We will definitely recommend Ben to our friends and family who plan on visiting Joshua Tree National Park.

Will was our tour guide and he was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about the desert plants and geography and was engaging throughout the tour. He skillfully navigated the off-road portion with confidence and we knew we were in good hands. This has been on the bucket list for a number of years and it was very well worth doing. It was my husband, myself and three 17 year old boys. Getting to see the backcountry was incredible. The boys especially loved the rock scrambling. Absolutely take the opportunity to do the off-road tour if you can. It will not dissapoint!

Isabel was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! We took this tour on our first day exploring Joshua Tree. Not only did we learn a lot about the history of the land and plant life, the tour helped us identify other parts of the park to later explore on our own. My boyfriend and I were the only ones on the tour so it was customized to our interests. Highly recommend as a first stop for anyone who has never visited Joshua Tree before!
