Just back from an amazing trip to Oahu. Booked the Ka Moana Lua on August 6 as our premium event using our Go Oahu card. We debated this Lua versus the PCC one but eventually settled on this due to location and ability to see the aquarium as well. Could not be more pleased. The venue is AMAZING. The views of the ocean was breathtaking. We appreciated the advantages of the splash seating and two included drink tickets. The show and dancers were amazing and you could see the skill and passion they brought to their performances. Special recognition to the MC who did a great job moderating the event and balancing the many announcements and notifications. Our twins were celebrating a birthday but it seemed the whole place was celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, etc. Made for a very festive happy atmosphere and he was the perfect master of ceremony. Definitely realize that these must be pretty exhausting to do night on night but the performers and MC gave it their all and were very accommodating in posing for pictures and helping our kids during craft time. The Samoan "king" actually helped my youngest create his palm crown which was special and he was incredibly good with a very moody kid! I had read some complaints about the food but we found the food very good and no problem going back for seconds (or thirds) if you were hungry. Between the setting, the entertainment, the food and the overall vibe I highly recommend Ka Moana Lua. I promised we'd write a review after taking a pic with the ever accomodating performers after the show. Happy to do it. Thanks for a truly magical night and capping off my families trip to Oahu! Aloha and Mahalo!

First things first: If you plan to go to the luau, entrance tickets for the sea life park are coming along with it. If you have a heart for animals, don’t visit that. We haven’t gone to it, because we‘ve already read before, that the animalhousing there is very small. When we got to enter the luau we were able to see to the sea lion and it has a maximum swimmingrange of 10 Meters in a circle. We also came across the seaturtles pool, where it felt like a massive amount of turtles are put in a pool as small as possible. I don‘t want to imagine how the conditions of the dolphins and the dolphins are. Poor animals. Back to the Luau. The Luau is really great! Great actors, okay food and many activities you can participate in, like playing Ukulele or making your own crown from palm leaves. There is space for about 450 people which runs of pretty good. The show is awesome! Classic seating just turns out fine but the actors run threw the lines while they‘re performing. Sadly they don’t really run through the classic lines, just premium and splash. Very interactive show and kids friendly. Loved it. We booked the luau with pickup service from Hyatt. If it runs late, don’t worry. The bus is probably stuck in traffic. It ran about 15 minutes late and was not recognisable. It’s just a bus in any color from any possible line. So open your ears when a bus is coming and the driver is screaming it’s direction. Could be yours. We took the early bus and decided to go to the Makapu‘u lighthouse trail which is about 1 mile away from there. The trail itself is another 1.5 miles long with an astonishing view over the bays and the ocean. If you are able to do that, you should instead of going to sea life. Overall great experience.
