We are the only kayak rental company right next to the Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Preserve. This paddling area is hands down one of the best family ecotours experiences to be had on the islands of the OBX. A beginner friendly environment explores a calm, glassy creek that meanders through the natural glory of one of North Carolina’s largest track of deciduous maritime forest habitat.

We have a flotilla of sit in and sit on top kayaks for your paddling pleasure. We also have specialty fishing kayaks and sea kayaks for the Hard Core paddler.

Kayaks are a little old but the girls who helped get us going were super friendly. We were the only ones on the water during our time so it was very relaxing and we could go at our own pace. Saw a couple turtles, some ducks, and a blue heron on our adventure. Very peaceful.

Enjoyed the calm waters and seeing the only covered bridge in the OBX! We only met 2 other travelers on the water and they were both extremely courteous. At first you pass privately owned docks but after just a bit, you get into the quiet with only nature!

The trip was beautiful. People were so nice they got to us quickly. We really had a great time. The man who put our boat in and out of the water, was great with everyone around him.
