Kealakekua Snorkel and Sail Adventure

Join us aboard our luxurious 50’ catamaran “Kona Style”, as we sail the Kona coast.  Scan the horizon for dolphins and whales (seasonal) from our shaded cabin or sunny splash nets.  Snorkel calm waters and lush coral gardens using our grand staircase for the easiest water entry/exit in the industry.  Brilliant reef fish, sea turtles and Hawaiian storytelling around every corner.  This executive adventure includes a continental breakfast with 100% Kona coffee, freshly baked pastries and parfait, along with sandwiches, chips, pasta salad for lunch.  All non-alcoholic beverages including water, juice and soft drinks are complimentary and we have the best liquor prices of any boat in Kona with beer, wine and liquor available for purchase.  All snorkel equipment, floaties and instruction provided. We are a native Hawaiian owned and operated company.

  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
  • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Minimum drinking age is 21 years
  • Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking. Gluten free and vegetarian options are available with at least 48 hours advance notice.
  • A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
  • Guests that will be snorkeling or getting in the water during the tour MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM without the assistance of a flotation device
  • If guest is not a competent swimmer (as determined by the Captain and/or crew), they will be directed to immediately return to the vessel. In such instances the guest will NOT be refunded
  • Children under the age of 5 are required to stay on boat (not allowed in the water) and must be accompanied by an adult at all times on the vessel
  • Guests are asked to check-in at our retail outlet 45 MINUTES PRIOR to your scheduled departure time. We are located in the Kona Square Shopping Complex. Our address is 75-5669 Alii Drive, #1107, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740
  • We offer discounted parking at the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha Hotel. The fee for validation is written on the exclusion section. Please remember to bring your parking ticket with you to check-in if you plan on using this option.
  • PLEASE NOTE that full-face snorkel masks are NOT allowed to be used by guests
  • The vessel is not handicap accessible
  • Guests weighing more than 300 lb (136 kg) are NOT allowed in the water as our water entry / exit staircase has a specific weight limit

In years past, Jim and I paddle boarded out to Kealakekua Bay (we are in our 50's) and took turns holding each others equip. to snorkel. Perhaps not the safeest way to get there? My Mom (in her 70's) does not swim and for years, we wanted to take her on a boat ride on our yearly trips to Hawaii. This year she said yes, but "I want to wear a life vest"...... she could have worn one, but she felt so safe and at ease on this beautiful boat with the fabulous crew members, Tanner, Corey and Mike. Thank you all so much, from Brittany in reservations to the owner, Alika. I felt as though i was at a 10 star Michelin restaurant with how attentive the crew was. Thank you for informing the snorkelers of the habitat of the sea and providing the reef safe sunscreen to help safe our oceans. I hope more folks will wear REEF SAFE SUNCREEN whenever in our ocean or rivers. (so please, lather up on the boat). We look forwrd to seeing you next year. With Much Aloha, Mahalo, Joan, Jim, Dad & Mom (Dad enjoyed the trip too). ps The night Manta is spectacular!!!! (did it two years ago and was wonderful!)

Mahalo for joining us and for your incredible words about our staff. It is awesome to hear that your mom felt so comfortable aboard the 50' catamaran. The boat is one of the larger vessels in the fleet and having two hulls does provide a much more stable ride than most of the monohulled vessels used in Kona. We are always striving to be the highlight of our guests' stay and we are thrilled that we were able to achieve that with you and your ohana! Whether it's making sure your drink is always full, cleaning your sunglasses or providing complimentary reef-safe sunscreen for guests to use, we are all about providing great experiences and memories. My mom, sister and I did the snorkel and Sail tour. It was amazing! The staff on board were super friendly, easy going, helpful and so kind! The served us coffee/drinks, food, prepared a great lunch for us. They really make sure you have the best experience. The area where we snorkeled was cool, not too crowded and lots of really cool fish to see. On our sail back to land we saw WHALES!!! They stopped the boat so that everyone could see the whales and capture pics/videos. The entire team from start to finish was awesome. They run the operation smoothly and if you have any questions or need help with anything, they go above and beyond. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR AN AMAZING TIME! can't wait to come back.

First of all, the crew was great. Snorkel was unreal and I've done the manta trip too. I can't say one bad thing about this company, I felt safe the entire time and they even have complimentary snacks and hot beverages to warm you up if you get cold. I saw some reviews that gave Kona Style a lower score because they didn't get to see any mantas but these geniuses don't realize that THESE ARE WILD ANIMALS!!! They aren't trained to come to you, so when they do come, it makes it all that much more special. Thank you Kona Style, I'll be back many more times!
