It’s a small group activity which is nice, about 11 people in our group. The check in was late with text notice. I didn’t mind that at all. The half body wet suit is recommended because the water at night is kinda chill, which they provided. The cleanliness of the wet suits are debatable, mine smells like a very sweaty dude….
The equipments of the masks and snorkels: I brought my own stuff so I have no issue with the quality of theirs. But I did see the people adjusting their mask constantly and my partner’s was leaking every 30 seconds. So I would suggest to bring your own snorkel equipments to amplify your experience, they are easy to find for rentals and guaranteed to work.
The snorkeling experience to me was EXCELLENT. The crew members were all EXTREMELY NICE and knowledgeable. The floating device that we held on was good and sturdy. We got about 7-9 manta rays surrounding us in about 5 mins when we were in the water, and they were NOT SHY. You are not allowed to touch these manta rays but they CAN TOUCH YOU, ever very gently despite their size. I got two huge females come to my face in inches constantly, touched me from arm to legs with their tips of the wings, that was VERY COOL. These guys were running a great show at night, smooth, elegant and so acrobatic. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to do it at least once in your lifetime. I thank the people who are hosting this kind of experience in the right way.
But the activity DO REQUIRE some short swimming(with noodles) in the mid of ocean at night. When you are out of the water it could be cold too, so bring yourself some towels at least to dry off, even though it’s a very short boat right.
