On our family holidays we try and book something for everyone and the KSC was requested by Dad. One of our kids likes science and so was looking forward to the visit.. the other one (14) was not! We started with a short walking tour of the rocket garden which was a good place to start and see models of the first generation rockets. Then we went to see the Heroes & Legends exhibition. 2 good short films before the exhibits. I was slightly disappointed that the exhibits were arranged around the values/attributes that the astronauts might have had rather than about the heroes themselves. Then we went to see the Atlantis space shuttle exhibit which was fantastic. A massive purpose built building to house the shuttle used for 28 missions. My favourite exhibit - do not miss! Very interactive and lots for the kids to do with simulators and hands on activities. We had booked the Explore tour which incorporated the general bus tour. It went out into the secure areas and nature park where you could see the launch sites... and a few gators and a family of dolphins! The tour went up to the huge vehicle assembly building which is quite something. The tour ends at another exhibit where the Saturn V rocket from the Apollo missions is housed. So impressive to see it up close. By this point we were rocketed out and decided to head off on our journey it there was more that we could have done such as the 4D IMAX film and info about the future of space travel. A great day out!

Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this tour. Better than expected. Gray Line delivered me here from Orlando and gave great advice - see the Shuttle Atlantis exhibit first, and do it early. That's the best part of the tour and sets you up for the rest. Had to queue up with several dozen schoolkids to get in. But the presentation, visually and the spoken word, was excellent, and seeing the actual Atlantis shuttle appear in front of us, made many of the kids cheer, and brought a tear to my eye. Just like when Christopher Reeve as superman caught the falling helicopter to save Lois Lane. Showing my age. But all the presentations, and static displays were great. My only complaint would be that there are far too many fast food outlets on site. Need some healthier options, for food and drink. No wonder Americans are getting fatter.

As a boy I Always wanted to come and see this unique place on earth. Finally I came here with my wife and our teenage kids...and high expectations. It was awsome for all of us...of course we did not bring enough time...but still could assist a (well organized) lunch with Astronaut Barbara Morgan. Her life, Achievements, and so humble way of telling her 12-day mission in Space Shuttle impressed us so much.( It was trully inspirational. Thank you!).The visitor center itself is really nice, and informative too. 10 points out of ten.
