Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. Be ready to walk and learn interesting and little known details of Key West history. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about area and paranormal investigation methods. He used a headset microphone so everyone could hear just fine. You will be off the beaten trail and walking quite a bit on uneven pavement, so sneakers are highly recommended! It was exactly what my teenage daughter has been begging to do for a long time!

"Southernmost Ted" is a great host. It was fun to walk the streets of old Key West and learn about a few spooky stories. My only complaint was the size of the group. I thought it was limited to around 15 ppl, but there were 25 or more on our tour. That may have been disclosed, but it felt like too many people. I understand that tourism has been restricted by COVID-19 and all tours have been hurting. When they can, it would be better to limit the group to fewer members. It would feel more authentic and be more enjoyable.

When we took our trip last week to Key West, we arrived the day bars shut down so we wanted to make sure we had stuff to do at night, we were originally going to do the ghost trolley, but we were too late booking so we ended up on the Ghost and Mysteries Tour and I’m glad we did! Susan was an amazing guide and she knew her stuff! She was personable, funny, and very professional and extremely easy going. I tried finding her to tip her after the tour but she seemed to have left before us and I felt terrible! The tour was not only fun, but a lot of history about Key West and it’s haunted spots. It was a lot of fun hearing about the tragedies and the stories that led to haunted activity around Key West, and even though I’m someone who’s familiar with hauntings, even I learned a lot on the tour. I highly recommend this tour (especially for the price!), for all those who enjoy haunted happenings, or those just looking for some interesting Key West history/stories.
