Key West Ghost and Mysteries Tour

Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. Next the tour moves to Bahama Street where the oldest graveyard is located in back of Saint Paul's Church. You are invited to use the dowsing rods at this point to try to engage spirit activity. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. The tour is interactive and questions are encouraged. The tour ends at 10:30 across the street from where it started.

This was a great tour with a great tour guide. Ted was very knowledgeable about both the haunted history and the "tools" (that I didn't know we were going to do, great surprise!), I felt like he was friendly and approachable. Excellent way to end our visit here in Key Weird. Thank you Southernmost Ted for an unforgettable experience!!!

Okay don't get me wrong Ted knows his stuff. And also dont get me wrong the tour is hella fun BUT don't upset Ted because he can be incredibly snarky. If you do not share a fraction of his enthusiasm he will call you out on it. WATCH OUT if you yawn because it will be interpreted as disrespect and you will most likely be called out in front of the group. I had a great time on the tour and really thought it was grand that we got to work with things first hand, but Ted personally did not rub me the right way. He not only called me and my companions out for "lack of enthusiasm" (which by the way, I'm on a ghost tour. its called being reserved cause I'm scared poodles) but also tried to challenge my knowledge on unrelated subjects such as the geography of different states including my home town. LOVE the experience, could do without the attitude.

Ted was awesome! Not only did he know the ghost stories but the history behind then was fascinating. Ted had several ghost hunting tools which he allowed us to use. He asked me to participate in calling a spirit. Sure enough the spirit came! My husband is a total skeptic but even he couldn't explain what I felt ( my reaction caught on film proves the shock in my face when the spirit came) we took many pictures and the orbs caught on camera are unexplainable. Awesome tour. Thanks Ted. I will be back with my friends.
