Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. Excellent tour! Ted was very exciting and knowledgeable. I have never been on a ghost tour where paranormal meters were used to detect paranormal activity. That was cool!! Highly recommended!

Interesting mix of learning about different types of ghosts, the history of Key West, and trying to photograph a ghost or two. (At least one member of our tour was successful in the latter.) A fun nighttime activity, and knowledgeable tour leader. Note that the tour included a stop at a B&B that even advertises that they have ghosts, but that the ghosts are friendly.

First off, i’ve been on a couple ghost tours in Key West (including the trolley ghosts and graveyards). Our tour-guide, ( Ted ), was very informative. You can tell he was very passionate about what he does. Frankly, at the beginning of this tour I was expecting disappointment, because of all of the negative reviews surrounding this guided tour in particular. However, I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the tour and Ted as well. All of these people leaving negative reviews, what were you expecting? Some basic a$$ bonfire spooky ghosts stories? Did you even read the description of what the tour entails? Were you expecting casper the ghost to appear in front of you? Not only did ted show us some cool and authentic tools used to interact with spirits/entities, he also told us a couple of cool stories about the spooky history of the island. As for the ones commenting about Ted’s serious tone of voice/ demeanor, have you ever been passionate about something? When you are passionate about something, you take it serious. Period. I feel for Ted and everyone leaving negative reviews about him. I for one, thought he was great, and it seemed like everyone else in our tour did as well. I also read the fine print, so I knew exactly what to expect on the tour :). If you want to be babied then ride haunted mansion at Disney world. It wasn’t cheesy, boring, or exaggerated. Keep being you southern most ted!
