Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. The tour is interactive and questions are encouraged. The tour ends at 10:30 across the street from where it started.

We went on three different ghost tours while on the island and this is the only one where we left a little afraid! We enjoyed our tour though. It was real windy that night and they used the sticks to talk to the ghosts they said but it made it hard to believe when the wind swept by and pushed them maybe we should have tried something else! Overall we enjoyed the stories and the locations that were visited. We even supposedly got a picture of a ghost!

Fortunately we're blessed with our fabulous Key West weather and the amazing Haunted history of the island and are rarely disappointed by either one! We've been on several ghost tours in different states and cities (in additional to other ghost tours in Key West) and this is by far the best, and most interesting! Our guide, Susan, was amazing! She stuck to the facts, and gave us different perspectives and insights. We even did a few "hands-on" activities, where I was able to take some interesting photos (which would make even the most die-hard skeptics think twice). We highly recommend this tour, and will definitely go on it again during our next visit to Key West!

I go on a ghost tour in every city I visit, so I'm very open to hearing ghost tales and ready for the unusual. Usually on ghost tours, the tour guide takes you to maybe 5 historic sites and shares stories. During our 2 hour tour, we went to three sites. The guide (I think his name was ted) spent more time talking about and using the "ghost detecting tools" then telling us the actual history of the locations. He also spent a lot of time having people take pictures with their cell phones to try and catch some glimpse of ghosts. It's great if people want to take pictures, but when you have flashes going off the entire time, its distracting and takes away from the fun. The guide ended at the Hard Rock Café, which is the least spooky place I could think of. It did have a ghost tale associated with the location, but still, I don't want to go to Hard Rock Café on a ghost tour. If you are really into the supernatural and want to spend a lot of time holding metal sticks and asking ghosts questions, then this is the tour for you. If you have gone to tours in other cities, and enjoyed hearing a lot of spooky history, please choose another tour.

Thank you for joining us the Key West Ghost & Mysteries tour. I'm sorry that it did not live up to your expectations. We do stop at more than three locations and try to share as much of the haunted history of the island as we can in the 90 minute time frame. Finishing upstairs at the Hard Rock has worked well for us as it is located in an ol victorian mansion with a haunted history behind it, in addition it gives our guests a chance to sit down (in air conditioning, which is important during the summer months) and share any experiences or photos they may have captured on the tour. We try our best to make this the most informative and interactive tour on the island. And your input is important. I apologize if we fell short in this instance, but we'll continue research, explore and enhance the tour as we move forward.
