Key West Ghost and Mysteries Tour

Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. My fiancé and I took this tour this evening with Tim as our guide. We are both spiritally in tune with the paranormal and this was our first ghost tour together. Tim was extremely affable, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. The tour focused on a handful of locations. Tim presented not only information on the hauntings at each location but history of the locations, the area and the evolution of the Key West area. We were encouraged to take photos at any time. At no time during the tour were we subjected to hokey 'boo!' scare tactics or were we fed stories of hauntings as fact without being told to keep an open mind and act as informed skeptics. Key West has a few other ghost tours and I haven't experienced those as yet. However, as a walking tour, the Ghost and Mysteries tour is a great value and good fun. I'd only suggest adding a couple more locations to the tour as Key West has a multitude of haunted history. Give them a try, you'll have a great time!

My mom and I have have done ghost tours in Chicago, Las Vegas and Charleston (supposed one of the most haunted places in US). We had NEVER captured ANY orbs on camera before and at many sites here we caught multiple orbs. Ted was a GREAT tour guide who knew facts, his stuff, interactive tour and really actually scared us with the stories (not like other places where the guides seem to try to be entertainers, the actually ghost stories and places were the entertainment!) HIGHLY recommend if you want to be spooked, hear the weird history of Key West and get cool pictures!

Just recently myself and a group of friends visited Key West for vacation. Knowing Key West had a reputation for being haunted, I insisted we go on a ghost tour. I practically had to drag my friends on it, but after only five minutes of listening to our tour guide "Southernmost Ted", everyone was hooked. It was fun and entertaining even for skeptics like myself!!!! Our guide Ted was awesome, knowledgeable w a great sense of humor. I recommend this tour for all visitors, and in comparison to the trolley tour, the price is right!!!
