On April 28, took a wonderful tour with Salmon Berry on the Knik Arm Tour. From Rosemary in reservations and her colleagues in the office to our outstanding tour guides, Josh and Lou Mei, we had a great experience. Both Josh and Lou Mei are exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. We particularly enjoyed our first experience on snowshoes at Hatcher Pass. We highly recommend this tour and any Salmon Berry Tour (went on one last year to the Wildlife Preserve) to anyone who would like to get a true taste of the last frontier of Alaska.

We had originally signed up for the Wildlife Reserve tour as a honeymoon activity, and were e-mailed shortly before we left for our trip that we were upgraded to the Turnagain Turn Tour, which includes the Wildlife Reserve tour but also includes a trip to Mt. Alyeska - what a nice surprise! However, on the day of the tour there was a huge avalanche that closed down the freeway going in the direction needed for the tour. They contacted us ASAP and offered to book us on another tour instead, one of which was the Knik Arm Tour. I primarily just wanted to see some wildlife, so the musk ox farm tour sounded great to me - so, we were rebooked and headed on the Knik Tour instead. We absolutely loved the tour! We had a small group of about 12 people and two Salmon Berry tour guides - our lead tour guide was Ben, and we had a tour guide in training, Kristen, who joined so she could understand the tour for when she eventually would lead it. Both were so nice and welcoming. We started with a great lunch at Turkey Red. Both my husband and I are vegetarian and found plenty of delicious options. We then headed over to the musk ox farm and really enjoyed learning about the fascinating creatures and getting to see them up close! Then we went on a snowshoeing walk together. My husband and I never went snowshoeing before and, not being especially outdoorsy, would have never initially booked the tour knowing that was a part of it. However, we LOVED it and would absolutely do it again in the future - we feel fortunate to have gone on this tour instead because we found a new hobby! I would 100% recommend going on any of the tours with Salmon Berry. We want to come back and visit Alaska again in the summer, and know we'll be booking a tour with Salmon Berry again!

The KNIK arm tour is a must see you when you come to visit ANCHORAGE! You will see a variety of wild animals wandering at their own leisure, and Robbie is a great tour guide. The Musk ox tour was interesting and we had a chance to snow shoe by historic mine! Talkeetna mountains are very beautiful in the winter.
