Look at their ad, The "experienced tour guide" is too cool to wear a helmet! I think it's not only stupid, but also illegal since they ARE motorized. They zip down our sidewalks and streets riding with one hand, not looking and set a bad example as well. Way too expensive for what you get.

We were a group of men looking for a fun activity in La Jolla. We settled on this company's Segway tour based on its reputation and we were not disappointed. John was our tour guide and he met us at Ellen Browning Scripps Park in the Cove. For most of us, this was our first time on a Segway. Thanks to John's excellent instructions, we were trained and ready to go in no time. I quickly felt like the Segway was an extension of my body as the vehicle seemed to move however I "willed" it. John's enthusiasm was contagious as we traversed the small crowds along the Cove and went up and down the practically car less side streets along the coast. We made a few stops during the two hour tour to hear about the area with which I already had familiarity and, thus, I would have preferred to just keep moving. It was a warm day and the breezes felt very comforting. I plan to definitely go on another Segway tour soon and this time will take my wife.

John and Another Side of San Diego Tours were fabulous...again! This is the second time that we have taken a tour with them. We recently moved to San Diego and decided to use them to get to know more about the San Diego area. We also used them when we were tourists and had not made the move yet. We plan to bring all of our out-of-town visitors to them to take a tour. John went above and beyond to show us La Jolla and he knows EVERYTHING! So nice and friendly and knowledgeable and makes people feel very comfortable when using the segways. Like I said, we are residents and like to use them as a fun activity. But they are also perfect for visitors who want to learn more about...well, anything. When we booked the tour, the owner, Kenneth, took the time to make sure that we were all set with our booking. So responsive and quick to communicate with you. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. Take this tour whenever you are in town!
