PRIVATE TOUR: PRICE IS PER VEHICLE - HOLDS 1-6 PASSENGERS. Cruise ship-friendly tour with Kahului Port pick up by private minivan 8:30 am and 1:30 pm are departure times. We start our drive through Kahului up the hill to Wailuku Town. The town sits in the shadow of the lush, ancient volcano known as Hale Mahina. The road heads directly into the erosion valley known as Iao. Maui Tropical Plantation. It’s the largest on Maui. Take advantage of all the flowers and ponds for a great photo op. Ice cream, coffee and other treats are for sale here. Grab one and relax under a Banyan Tree or walk over to the small pineapple farm. Our final stop is the renowned Maui Ocean Center. It is 3 acres big, making it the largest tropical reef aquarium in the Western Hemisphere. Here you’ll find ocean wonders of all sorts, including a 750,000 gallon tank filled with sharks and stingrays. Become immersed in the 3D Humpback Whale experience that puts you up close and personal with these gentle giants.

Next is the Maui Tropical Plantation. Easy walking paths lead through tropical plants and enjoy the artfully displayed antique equipment from the old sugar milling days. The local gift shop has island made vodka, coconut candy and many other fun items! Tram Ride is not part of the tour.

The King Kamehameha Golf Club
We then climb up a west Maui slope to enjoy stunning views of the central valley from this King Kamehameha look out. Hear the story of how these grounds hold a historical structured connected to the famous Frank Lloyd Wright and Marilyn Monroe.

On our pleasant drive back to North shore our final stop will be the sea cliff look out over the beautiful Ho‘okipa Beach. Enjoy views of the ocean, waves and surfers. Frequently Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are sunbathing right on the beach! A short walk can bring you down to the water to get even closer to the local wildlife. Relax and enjoy the spectacular views on your drive back to the port.

Vallée d'Iao

La boutique de cadeaux locale propose de la vodka fabriquée sur l'île, des bonbons à la noix de coco et de nombreux autres articles amusants! Le trajet en tram ne fait pas partie de la visite.

Sur notre agréable route de retour vers la côte nord, notre dernier arrêt sera la falaise donnant sur la magnifique plage de Ho'okipa. Profitez de la vue sur l'océan, les vagues et les surfeurs. We truly enjoyed our time with Nick! He was very informative and explained things well without going overboard. We never felt rushed during the tour and appreciated the flexibility of the schedule. Nick did an outstanding job getting us to the places we wanted to visit ahead of the crowds and had excellent suggestions for alternatives to the Ocean center (which we had visited before). Highlights included the magnificent Iao Valley and a stop to see turtles lounging on the beach and swimming in the clear water. Heartfelt thanks to Nick for the delightful, top-notch excursion!
