Our small group snorkeling tours are locally owned and operated, making you feel like a part of our Maui ohana! Since 1982 we have offered snorkeling trips on our quick and safe rafting vessels to the island of Lanai where we find secret coves, sea cliffs, tropical reef, marine life and dolphins! This trip includes whale watching during whale migration months (December-April). Every ticket supports active marine research and our efforts as part of the whale entanglement response team here on Maui!

Booked this trip primarily to do the whale watching with a side of snorkeling. Our guides, Joel and Michelle were absolutely top notch and so nice. Couldn't have picked a better crew. The water was a little cool so I recommend the wet suit. First snorkel stop was at the old pier. Lots of turtles, some small fish and urchins. Michelle was an absolute pro at finding these 20' under the water. We did some whale watching and found a mama humpback and her baby being playful. The next stop was near a beach south of Lahaina. It was very windy and wavy. Joel and Michelle did their best but it was not prime snorkeling here. After, we went back to find the whales. After about 1/2 hr, mama humpback finally breached the surface with an spectacular twisting jump. The banana bread and fruit were an excellent snack. We did not see any Dolphins but that's was ok. It was late in the season for whales but would come back for sure!! Thank you Michelle and Joel and Ultimate Whale Watch.
