I booked Julie for a 3hr personal tour of Presidio Hill and Balboa Park. She is quite knowledgeable about history, culture, and photography, and her passion for them is infectious. Not only did she incite a great deal of interest in San Diego, she armed me with tools and information that will help me futher my skill in photography. Highly recommended Julie! (PS, thanks to her, I am now capable of taking interesting and beautiful pictures of even dustbins…)

Spent an informative and fun morning with Julie learning about my camera and got great photo tips! Julie took the time to communicate with me before the tour to make sure she understood what my goals were. She also gave me a comprehensive list of things I should bring and make sure I did prior to meeting up with her so that we could optimize my tour experience. While on the tour she combined verbal instruction with visual aids as well as exercises to help maximize my understanding of different concepts. Julie also provided a lot of follow-up information for accessories, exercises and suggestions for how I can keep practicing and improving my photography. I will definitely use her again the next time I’m in San Diego!

This is my second time doing a workshop with Julie and I t was a great experience. She tailored it to what I wanted to learn and offered both technical and creative tips and exercises to help me improve. This time around I had my family with me and she even included some fun activities for them. She obviously loves photography, loves to teach and really loves San Diego and it shows! I will be working on what she taught me and will be back again for another session!
