We took our seven year old grandson, who loves Legos. We all enjoyed the Kingdom Quest ride and shooting targets. Our grandson pointed out the lamps that looked like large Legos and other things that he saw along the way. We all enjoyed the 4D movie. Miniland was cool, but not all of the interactive sets were working. He was very disappointed in that. We even checked back later, but they still were not functioning. He was not terribly interested in the Lego Factory tour. He said that the Merlin's Apprentice ride was a "baby ride" and didn't want to ride it (even though the line wasn't long). He was interested in the play area, but it was full of children five and under when we went there. It also seemed geared to the preschool age group to us. The Friends area is definitely geared to girls. The Farm, Earthquake tables and Village are all Duplo oriented and too young for our first grader. He might have enjoyed the Racers, but there were not enough wheels of any kind to make a vehicle in the bin we were at. All the other bins were taken and the set up isn't designed for sharing. Perhaps if there were bins of wheels, axles, and different parts separate from the construction station it would help. Our grandson knew what all the parts were in our bin, but would say you need an "X" part for this. Unfortunately those parts were not in our bin. We couldn't make one car, let alone multiple to race against each other or anyone else. We even went back later to see if we could attempt making a racer again, with the same experience. We missed the Creative experience time. We would have had to wait a half an hour to catch the next one. Since there wasn't anything he wanted to do in the meantime, we decided to leave. It might have been a better experience for a child five and under. If there had been parts to make a whole racer and all the interactives would have worked in Miniland, I might have given an average rating. We purchased our tickets online, so we didn't have to wait to get in, but it was a poor value for the money spent on the 65 minutes we were there.
