The Roaming Table

Our expert tour guides will navigate your through the historic Village of Lewiston. On our three hour tour we will learn about the rich history of this quintessential small town. You will learn about Lewiston’s role on the Underground Railroad, the War of 1812 and even its ties to the Mafia! Lewiston is also known for its amazing restaurants. There are over 30 restaurants in a half mile radius! We will stop at “mom and pop” shops, waterfront eateries, chef owned restaurants, bustling coffee shops and much more. At each stop we will sample generous portions of food (along with drink pairings at 2 stops), enough for a filling lunch!

Nos guides touristiques experts vous guideront à travers le village historique de Lewiston. Au cours de notre visite de trois heures, nous découvrirons la riche histoire de cette petite ville par excellence. Vous découvrirez le rôle de Lewiston dans le chemin de fer clandestin, la guerre de 1812 et même ses liens avec la mafia ! Lewiston est également connue pour ses incroyables restaurants. Nous nous arrêterons dans des boutiques "maman et pop", des restaurants au bord de l'eau, des restaurants appartenant à des chefs, des cafés animés et bien plus encore. À chaque arrêt, nous dégusterons de généreuses portions de nourriture (ainsi que des accords boissons à 2 arrêts), assez pour un déjeuner copieux !

The roaming table is a must do if you are in Lewiston! My boyfriend was slightly skeptical when I first booked our tickets for this, however he absolutely loved it and talked about it all night afterwards. We had the opportunity to not only taste some amazing food from multiple restaurants, but we also were able to learn about the history of Lewiston. Alicia was very knowledgeable about the town and is clearly passionate about her work. I enjoyed getting to know others in the group and hearing about their past experiences in Lewiston and/or previous vacations. I wish every city I visited had a tour as comprehensive as this one. We will definitely be sharing our positive experience with friends and family, and hope that they too will come and enjoy The Roaming Table. Thank you!

What an incredible tour these two put together. The history/stories were captivating, and the food was wonderful at every stop. Everyone enjoyed this little trip through Lewiston. Having been down there many times, either to go to Artpark, the Peach Fest, Quest, or to Tuscana, it was so nice to see Lewiston in a different way, actually taking the time to walk Center street and take a look. It was like being in a different town! Very enjoyable afternoon, and we would recommend this to all our friends (which we have) and do it again ourselves!

We had a great afternoon with Alicia, she conducted an amazingly fun, fact filled and well organized tour. The restaurants and businesses we visited pampered us with delicous, good sized portions of food and refreshments to taste. Everyone was so friendly and genuinely seemed happy we were there. Even though we had a drizzly damp day we were having so much fun it really didn't matter. The history about Lewiston was very interesting, Alicia was a great tour guide and funny as well. We highly recommend this tour and will certainly revisit the restaurants we sampled.
