This was our favorite stop during our time in Northern AZ. We loved seeing Horseshoe Bend and Grand Canyon, but it was amazing to actually experience and walk through Antelope Canyon. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of educational information as well as some fun anecdotes. We planned to stay in Flagstaff and were on the fence about whether or not to make the drive up the canyons and we're so glad that we did. It was definitely worth it!

Honest review: The canyon is beautiful, but you're herded through it very quickly - you barely have time to take pictures without a lot of people in the background because there will be a tour group right in front of you all the time and the guide will not always wait for them to disappear around a corner for you to take pictures alone. You will be expected to wear your mask at ALL TIMES - even for pictures, which in my opinion is excessive since you're outside in the open air. In all fairness, this is stated in the information, so it's your choice to accept it or not. Just be aware, some people tried to take it off to take pictures, and they'll yell at you in front of everyone that they'll escort you out of the canyon (which they won't, because they would have to leave the rest of the tour group behind, but still). It says in the information to leave 3-5 dollars in tip, but the tour guide didn't seem pleased with the ten dollars that my husband and I left, which may seem cheap to some, but then we did pay a good amount of money per person for a short tour. Other than that, he was nice enough. Again, the canyon is beautiful, but beware that your photos will all be with you in a mask, which in my opinion takes away from the experience, as it doesn't feel organic.

Thank you for your review. It is a beautiful place. The mask mandate is still in place on the Navajo Reservation, as you mentioned was stated in the information.

PROS amazing canyon! Booked a few days prior to arriving to Arizona. It is well run attraction. Our tour started on time, with courteous staff. It is an amazing sight, makes unreal photo ops, and lasted about an hour, with about a 6-minute walk down to the canyon entrance. Lots of turns in somewhat narrow spaces, but totally doable. CONS a lot of stairs that are somewhat narrow, and hard to navigate for a toddler or young kids. They may have to be carried by adults. If you have problems with joint pain or disability it may not be for you. MASK mandate- it was difficult to wear the entire tour and I hope the Navajo reservation lifts that soon, but I do understand their reasoning for it. No video is permitted.
