My wife and I were trying to find a catamaran cruise here in Waikiki and there are a lot to choose from. We ended up selecting Sail Makani quite randomly and we were impressed ... VERY impressed. Captain Jon personally picked us up at the Sheraton Waikiki. From there we stopped to pick up his dog Pal. After that we were onto the boat. The staff on the boat were the most friendly and funny people we have come across in Waikiki. They were very attentive, fun to talk to, and willing to lend a helping hand with pictures, drinks, etc. Captain Jon is hilarious. The views from the boat were simply breath-taking. I took well over 100 pictures. Everywhere we turned there was a postcard view. They served lunch on the cruise, which was small, but just enough and it tasted great. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about our experience. I would recommend this cruise to anyone. We did not go on one of the larger catamaran cruises, but I really think they would not have been as enjoyable because of the sheer size of those vessels. They herd onto those boats so many dozens of people that the personal touch just wouldn't be there. Our cruise had maybe 18 people. Several times my wife and I went up to the Captain's chair and just chatted away with Captain Jon while enjoying the view. Simply put ... take this cruise, you will not regret it.
