Join us for a morning paddle with Hawaiian sea turtles! This beginner class is perfect for anyone interested in trying standup paddling (SUP) for the first time, or experienced paddlers who want to learn more. We paddle in the beautiful blue waters of Ala Moana beach park and look for turtles along the way!

Many guests like to pair this experience with our SUP yoga class following at 9am.

I came for the stand up paddling class and had such a good time that I stuck around for the SUP yoga class afterward! Krysta is great—she gave a solid overview of paddling fundamentals and technique to set us up well (unlike an experience I had elsewhere where they kinda tossed us in the water and said “go” 😅). I left the class excited to go paddling on my own back home this summer and confident that I have the ability. The instruction in the yoga class was great as well—Krysta made sure there were variations available for people of all abilities, and I felt welcome and comfortable even though I’d never tried yoga on a paddleboard before and hadn’t even practiced yoga for a while. The overall vibe was so positive and friendly that I ended up leaving the class with two new fellow solo traveler friends. Definitely a highlight of my trip!

My husband and I wanted to try this, but had some reservations. We are in our upper 50s and not athletic. We had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend it. You have time to learn balance and paddling in a bay near shore before heading out to the lane. The area is protected and there are no big waves. We did get to see sea turtles during the paddle. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses! You meet in the parking lot of the Ala Moana park. Use Google maps, as directed by the website. Waze took us to different location, but we had enough time to redirect. Overall great experience. Will definitely do it again on our next visit.

The instructors were amazing and super encouraging for us being first time paddle-boarders! They gave great instruction and were super patient! 10/10 would recommend!
