This activity was amazing from beginning to end. We started off with Isiah who was a wealth of information as he drove us out to the private property. Matt and Duncan were our guides and it was obvious they both grew up in the area and had so much insight into flora and even got my husband to try the edible spruce tips at one of our stops. We were lucky to see a mama bear and cub before we started off on our tour and the UTVs were newer and well kept. When we returned, Kyle and Bethany had reindeer sausage and vegetarian chili cooking over an open fire pit. I am not a fan of reindeer but this sausage was amazing and I finished a full sausage on my own and the blueberry cake was delicious. I highly recommend this activity and we will definitely do this again if we ever make it back to Ketchikan.

Wonderful tour starting with the bus driver Isaiah who was so full of information and personality. Our guides Matt and Duncan took us into the Tongass National Forest in well kept UTV's . Even before leaving the post we saw a mama bear and her cub! We went out 5 miles stopping for breathtaking views before turning back. Their knowledge about the wildlife and the forest was interesting and extensive even telling us about edible spruce tips that we all tried. Upon our return Bethany and Kyle had excellent Reindeer sausage cooked over an open fire and a big pot of chili ready for us. Wish I could have taken some home. George our bus driver back to the port was a delight. Please make this a priority for when you are in Ketchikan. You will not be disappointed.

10 out of 10 would recommend. We got the true Tongass experience and loved every part of it. Hopefully I’ll get to come back next summer and catch you all again. Much love from Stacey and the fam.!
