This 4 hour South Maui kayak and snorkel eco-adventure is No Ka Oi! Enjoy the calm and clear waters of Turtle Town where you will encounter an abundance of green sea turtles, occasional dolphin sightings, and dozens of species of vibrant tropical fish.

Experience snorkeling at Fives Graves where you can look into the skylight cave from the water’s surface or swim down and get a closer look! Plus explore the historic Pu’uolai coastline and snorkel among spectacular coral reefs and geological formations that attract hundreds of species of marine life.

Educational experience with John who informed our group about Hawaiian culture and history, marine ecosystem and provided an excellent and thorough safety and instructional overview of how to kayak and snorkel. I have taken H.A.T (high adventure training) kayaking and the instructors where a former Navy Seal and Ranger. John's emphasis on safety and how to use the paddle, kayak, snorkeling gear where par to H.A.T. John provided our family the ohana experience and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the green turtles. We now know how to identify the male and female turtles based on the size of their tales, debunked our misconception that the turtle's shell would protect it from it's primary predator sharks and learned about the Romeo-Juliet fish that mate for life. Thank you, John!

The weather hadn't been too great during our trip - very windy. Our original tour was cancelled due to high winds. Luckily we had time to reschedule for two days later, and the Maui Kayaks was very accommodating. Our guide John was excellent to say the least. Being my first time kayaking, I was a little nervous on how we would get out and back in to shore when watching the incoming waves. John gave get instructions, and waded out with us to assist. I overheard members of a different tour group not get such great assistance and spoke of getting hit with waves during disembarking. John truly loves what he does and is a wealth of information (ask him lots of questions, he likes that). He kinda reminds me of the sting ray teacher from finding Nemo. We will definitely book again with Maui Kayaks the next time we are in Maui.

We’ve done a few kayak trips all over the world, and this was hands down the best one. We saw a bunch of whales, and the snorkeling spot was great. Our guide, John, was crazy knowledgeable and fun. At the snorkeling spot, he dove down to show us all the cool fish, and even a turtle! We’ve had some “teamwork issues” in the double kayaks before, but after his initial instruction and explanation, we hit the ocean cruising, and it felt great the whole time! Would definitely recommend, especially the long tour with John!!!
