We experienced a walking tour today with David originating from the Hotel Edison and we were extremely pleased. We have been in New York for four days and we had not observed the true history, uniqueness and subtle messaging that he pointed out during the tour. David - you were great!! As we participated in a free tour sponsored by Triumph Hotels, we highly recommend that you invest the time to take in one of the walking tours and learn about the facts that you would otherwise not be aware of on a foot tour of your own.

the tour comes included in the price of our room stay at pod 51. it was definitely a lot of fun and the leader was fun and knowledgeable. they do different neighborhoods every day (or most days without repeats). my friend even said that the next time we stay in the city we should stay a week and do a tour each day :)

My mum and I did two tours--Meatpacking District/Greenwich Village and Brooklyn/DUMBO--with Streetwise when we stayed at the Pod Hotels. We really enjoyed them both and came away feeling like we got an experience of the city we wouldn't have had otherwise. Both Dan and Patrick were excellent tour guides--funny, informative, engaged--and they pointed out interesting quirks and hidden aspects about the areas that we would have walked by without noticing. These tours definitely deepened our understanding of and appreciation for the city and its many neighbourhoods. If I travel to New York again, I plan on staying at a Pod Hotel so that I can do the other neighbourhood tours that Streetwise offers!
