Enjoy a 3-hour snorkeling adventure in Marathon Key at one of the world's most incredible reefs. Sombrero Reef is alive. It is a place where parrotfish feed on the living coral while trumpetfish try to blend in among its branches. The reef is protected, so you can expect to see large schools of grunts and snappers swimming among large groupers hiding in the crags and looking for a meal. The great barrier reefs on our planet are precious. Like underwater rainforests, they teem with wildlife and colorful corals.
You are welcome to bring food and drinks with you.

What a great excursion this was! So many fish and even a turtle! Rob and Jessie were fantastic! I would highly recommend this trip. Sombrero Reef had tons of fish!!

What a great time Captain Rob and 1st mate (I have to apologize for forgetting the young ladies name) made us feel very welcome and comfortable. A short ride to the reef after a quick and thorough safety briefing. Crew on constant watch of the group and checking each person off and on the boat and whilst in the water. Once back on board lots of drinks handed round. Cannot rate this high enough. Great trip and a great crew

I booked it through TripAdvisor and the reservation never made it to Captain Pips - when we arrived to check in our names were not listed on the excursion I booked and paid for. I showed them the email I received with the booking # and stating we were good to go. The staff at Captain Pips were remarkable - they apologized- even though it was not their fault and explained although booked through TripAdvisor. - TripAdvisor sold it off to a third party and there was no way for them to confirm anything as they did not have access to the third parties computer system. Thankfully, there was still room on the pontoon, so we booked again - directly - for $100 less as well mind you and had a fabulous time - I am still fighting the charge - hopefully will be reimbursed for what was bit provided - would be nice to be compensated for the extra outlay of cash and aggravation- we shall see
