One of the coolest experiences of my life. Bill was our amazing tour guide. Communication was great! He reached out the night before to give us the pickup time. He even bothered to reach out when he was running 5 minutes behind schedule on the day of pickup. On the way out to the glacier Bill gave us a little history on Alaska and Anchorage. We stopped at a gas station about an hour into our 2 hour drive for a restroom/coffee break. Cell phone service (Verizon) went out a short time after this. When we arrived we put on our gear and headed out to the glacier. The glacier is absolutely breathtaking! I slide through a crevasse, walked through an iceberg and climbed into ice caves. Bill took photos, taught us about glaciers and kept us safe along the way. He is knowledgeable, friendly and an all around cool guy! We definitely want to come back in the Summer and will be sure to ask for Bill again.

Really nice experience here and give a really good experience to start my trip at Alaska. The guide is really nice person and the food is really delicious. Recommend people try the glacier exploration and take nice photos here!

Hiking the Matanuska glacier with a professional like Bill made the experience very smooth and thrilling. Glacier views throughout the walk were spectacular. Bill helped us all gear up for the activity, guided us throughout the ~2-hour hiking adventure, stopped at various spots on the hike, and shared tonnes of information about glaciers. He also took us for lunch later in a decent restaurant overlooking the glaciers. The round trip to the glaciers was fun, too - we had pretty interesting conversations with Bill about Alaska while on the road trip. I'd highly recommend Bill and the tour company for this activity.
