This is a fun filled trip under the sea. The crew was very professional and friendly and were very conscientious of keeping everything sterilized and everyone spaced out properly - always felt very safe. The boat ride out to the submarine was very nice and watching it submerge was an extra perk! While down below at over 120ft the captain took us to several coral reefs and a sunken ship where we saw numerous fish and even an eel! It was a fantastic experience, especially for those who don’t snorkel or dive. Well worth the $$ and the crew was very informative throughout the tour, Would definitely do this again!

My wife and I decided to do the trip as we have never been underwater on a sub before.. It was interesting from the start, as they take you out in a tender to the support vessel. You get to see the sub rising from the depths between the tender and the support boat, to disembark the previous passengers. All 3 are rafted together, and the passengers from that trip transfer to the tender. Then you board the sub and climb below, where you have seating in front of very large viewing portholes. They then descend to a max depth of around 130ft.(the sub is certified for 150ft.), and cruise around the reef, looking at the fish and an old sunken wreck. Our only wish is that they would have on strong enough lights to bring out the color of the fish. Blue is the last color of the color spectrum to disappear in water, so everything is blue color unless lit by lights. Divers knows this. The crew would point out the different kinds of fish we were seeing, including morey (sp?) eels. The history of the wreck is told while we circled the vessel. We then returned to the spot where we started, and ascend to the surface, and go through the whole routine in reverse. Before we leave the sight, we get to witness the sub with it's new crop of passengers descending back down. Before we left the dock on the way out, they take you picture, and they are presented to you upon arriving back. Because of the unique experience, it was worth the $125 (each) we paid.

The Maui Atlantis Submarine is great for all ages. We took our adult children and granddaughter and each enjoyed their own unique experience. You get out of the sun for a couple of hours, see an abundance of sea life and have the cool experience of being in a sub. I highly recommend it!
