We went on a Mon. It was a full house. Great environment, right beside the black rock on Kaanapali beach with beautiful sun set. The show was a pretty good Polynesian show, great for a Hawaiian experience if it was your first time. It was my wife's first Luau, so it was a wonderful show experience for her, if you have been to a Luau, it is just like any other Luau. Most couples at the show were more focused on getting the perfect sunset shot than focused on the show.
Food was ok. There was a variety of food and plentiful. Most people over piled their plate and never finished just wasting food. There was salad, fried rice, noodles, poke, chicken, teriyaki beef, luau pork, steam fish, bread and coconut taro. The fish was really tender and best tasting dish. The beef was tough, chicken, pork and poke was very very salty.
Drinks just like what others had said...terrible. Pina Colada and Mai Tai just tasted terrible. Chemical taste and could not taste the rum. Best to stick with pop and water.
If you do go, make sure you are there around 4pm. Line up starts around 4pm and check in is slow due to amount of people. By the time the show started, I noticed the line was still 50m long.
In summary, if it is your first Luau, this location has a great beach view. Food is not bad if they reduce the salt. Show is good for the experience.
