Mendenhall Glacier and Whale Watching Tour

Although we are the original whale-watching company in Juneau (operating since 1994), we are still small and family-owned and operated! We want you to feel like part of the family, and we pride ourselves on prioritizing local hires in order to give back to our community and give you the best possible tour experience. We want our guides to love Juneau as much as you do!

Our fleet consists of only mammal-friendly jet boats, and the small size and intimate setting will make you feel right at home with the whales.

We pride ourselves on our quick transfers between vehicles! We don't want you to wait any longer than you absolutely have to!

How do we write a review of the tour we were actually on? We were picked up by a very unenthusiastic young man from Dolphin Jet boat tours, apparently their boats have had issues and the sent us off with another tour company Juneau Tours and Whale Watch once we got to the marina. They were the best tour company hands down we had a blast! Beyond our expectations and left them a 5 star review on google. We were then picked up by our guy again and scooted off to Mendenhall glacier. He maybe said 3 sentences about the glacier said he would be back in an hour to get us. So if you like city or landmark tours without any reference or history. This tour is for you but we highly recommend booking with Juneau Tours and Whale Watch!

Hello, Thank you so much for this valuable feedback! I am actually in the process of reworking our training guides for our bus drivers, and I will take this into account. I am so glad to hear you had a great time with Juneau Tours. This year has really just been one thing after another mechanically, and when unable to go ahead with a tour, we always strive to prioritize our customers' experience. Many of our passengers book months in advance, or take advantage of one of the sales we have offered, and we want to honor those prices instead of cancelling and forcing you to book a costly last minute ticket. Again, thank you for taking the time to review us. We are a small company, and we take each review to heart.

Our captain and his assistant were awesome. They answered all our questions but best of all, they got us up close to so many whales. They also gave us bottled water and a good variety of snacks. I highly recommended this company!

The crew did a good job of explaining about humpback whales. Their habitat and their behavior. The boat was very fast and very comfortable.
