Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Every tour is unique and space is limited, making this Juneau’s most exciting and sought-after adventure tour.

First, thanks for the great weather today! Good job! 9/22/22 Kevin & Kelsie were excellent guides, and both were extremely knowledgeable. They were both very professional and fun! Their explanations were clear, informative and they came across as individuals who both loved their job, and they appreciated the beauty that we experienced today. They cared about those of us who were on the tour with them. Kevin was also a very safe van driver. This is an excellent tour for those who would like to see this glacier close up from the perspective of the lake and also to walk at the base. I would not say it is a tour for everyone as you will paddle with up to 10 others for 45+/- minutes to and then from the glacier. You do take rest stops along the way. Once you land near the glacier, you will walk around on loose rocks both up and down, but it by no means is unsafe. I did not think this was too hard as there were also many just average participants that did not struggle. The gear that is given to you is top notch. Rain Gear, (jacket, pants & boots), helmet and life vest. They take safety seriously and this is evident with their pre-talk. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECCOMEND THIS EXCURSION/TOUR!

This excursion was fantastic! Kelby and Kelsie are phenomenal tour guides. They were extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the glacier and showed genuine appreciation for it and surrounding area. We were all provided appropriate hiking gear and snacks which made the tour even more enjoyable. I would recommend this excursion to everyone looking for an adventurous time.
