Minimum Weight: 40 pounds to fit into required lifejacket
Maximum Weight: Approx 250lbs dependent on waist size to fit into kayak cockpit
Maximum Height: Guests over 6'3" will not be able to use the rudders to steer and may be uncomfortable in the kayak
Guests should be in good health and will need to paddle for approximately 2 hours
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time

During our stay in Juneau, my husband and I went sea kayaking. Our guide Landon was very good. He was knowledgeable about the area surrounding Mendenhall Glacier. We saw a bear feeding on a fish. We were also able to get extremely close to a female bald eagle. She just sat on a log and let us paddle right up to her. It was a wonderful experience.

My friend and I were scheduled for this excursion the afternoon of June 6, 2018. I received notice the excursion was cancelled about 1-2 hours before we were due to meet for departure. The reason for the cancellation was sea conditions not conducive for kayaking. This would not have been a problem, but my wife and her sisters went on a whale watching cruise that was in the same area believed to be where we would have gone kayaking. I was told that the seas were calm, and the weather was favorable. The thought going around was that the excursion was cancelled for my friend and me because there were insufficient participants for the excursion to be financially viable. Not happy at all. The only decent thing to come out of the experience was a full refund.

Sorry we had to cancel the tour. Where you would have been sea kayaking is approximately 10 - 25 miles from where the whale watching boats go. There are numerous microclimates here and the weather can be drastically different even if only a half mile apart. Sorry again that the trip was canceled but your safety is our first priority.
