My impression was that this was to be a true glacier view experience. You can barely see the glacier from the shore, and even less once you are at water level in the kayak. This is more of a sea animal kayak encounter, with a hint of glacier way off in the distance, like looking at a snow capped mountain from sea level.
Also, the equipment needs to be better cared for. The life jackets were wet, and smelled badly, and the provided boots, even worse. I have participated in other excursions, where the equipment was in way better shape. This company needs to better describe the excursion, and take better care of the equipment.

Sorry, you were disappointed. My house is by the kayak launch so I am not sure what you mean by you could barely see the glacier? You are 8 miles from the face of the glacier. The glacier rises up to over 5500 feet in elevation. It is very visible unless it is covered by clouds or fog.
Thanks for informing me about the equipment. This is the first I have heard that. I will make sure and address the issue with the team.
