You cannot go wrong with this tour. First, if you watch the video that was sent to you two days before the tour, instructions where to park ($8 for weekdays for 8 hours) and how to walk to the boarder you cannot go wrong. This video was step by step and we had no issues. If you must use the restroom, bring .50 cents, yes, they charge you right at the US/Mexico entrance. Bring your passport for easier in and out. Once on the Tijuana side are tour guide Marisol meet us and we had the best experience. It was just two of us and we never felt unsafe. The Mexican’s we encounter were very friendly and talkative. Marisol took us to three amazing places to eat. We are from Southwest Texas, and I have to say, best Mexican food ever in Tijuana. I could chew the meat with my tongue. We also did have margaritas too! They are proud of their food and happy to feed you. Marisol explained the living conditions, customs, and culture to us. This young lady had it down and she took exceptionally diligent care of us. She walked us back to the boarder and made sure we were in line and heading back to California. Take this walking food tour, it is more adults, and it is a culture experience. Getting back over the boarder does take longer, but your entertained with music, food, vendors, and just overall people watching.

We had an awesome time with Border Tours as we went around trying many different types of foods&tacos in Tijuana! We had Martin and he was great especially since it was only my husband and I who were on the tour so Martin was really able yo tailor it to what we were wanting to do! I would definitely give the food, Martin and the overall experience a 5/5 stars! The reason I put 4 is because we didn’t know before the tour that we had to walk across the border ourselves and meet with our guide on the México side. This felt a bit daunting and unexpected so I would definitely recommend people check their emails before going and ensure you pay attention to the details in it as it was helpful for us!

Tadeo was our tour guide and he made it super fun! We loved all the food and culture. This tour does meet on the mexico side of the border which I wish was communicated when booking though.
