Truly not to be missed. Just did the tour Sunday, March 5th when I had a family member come to Atlanta for the first time and we got a taste of a little bit of everything from history to great little out of the way pubs and some tidbits of information about things I didn't know about my Midtown Atlanta neighborhood and I have lived here for 30 years! John is a fabulous host/tour operator who doesn't know a stranger. His knowledge of the restaurants in this unique area of Atlanta is unsurpassed. While I had eaten at many of the restaurants on the tour, being there with our group of 8 (we did not know one another prior to the tour) was a gastronomical treat. We sampled things I didn't normally order and loved every delicious bite! At Johns direction, we were treated to the true flavor of Atlanta's best loved walking & restaurant neighborhood. So good in fact that I posted the tour information on my condo's Facebook page and I have referred Peachtree Food Tours 3 times already. Pricey...not at all when you consider the return on investment. Seems to be priced just right in my opinion. Don't want to miss this one!

Hey Solo! If you don't mind...whenever I hear the comment, "Why should I take a food tour in my own city?", I'm just going to send them your terrific review!! Wow! Thank you!
The goal of any food tour is to introduce you to out-of-the-way, hidden dining gems, taste some of the choices that you wouldn't have typically ordered, and then there's plenty of "tidbits of information" that always enrich the history of the town you call home. Plus, part of my job as a guide is to be able to even suggest restaurants not in my neighborhood, encouraging my guests to explore all that Atlanta has to offer.
The treat (and great learning opportunity!) is to ask my folks who have lived here for years, "What's your favorite BBQ joint? Where do you go for Italian? Who's the best when I need a Mexican fix? When you think romantic, which restaurant do you recommend?"
Those answers certainly help me...but when the other guests are travelers, what a gift they're getting from locals!!
Yep! I agree! TA readers: You "don't want to miss this one!"
Solo, I'll keep an eye out for you on Peachtree Street!
My best! John
