The crew was fantastic, the views were spectacular and the boat ride was nice. The snorkeling was pretty and there were plenty of fish to see. 5 stars for this part. However, this is sold as a trip where you can get in the water where the spinner dolphins are and that is not the case. Apparently in the last year or so the rules have changed in Hawaii and you can no longer do that. Additionally, it says pricing starts at $70 and going through the calendar for an entire year that price was never available. Because you can't get in the water with the dolphins this trip is way overpriced. Hence, the rating of a 3. I spent over $1,000 for 6 adults and 2 children. If Viator were to refund some of my money to make this trip financially comparable to other local companies I would change my review.

I’ll start by saying that the tour itself was incredible!! We got to see dolphins swimming alongside the boat, snorkel in beautiful locations, sea turtles, sea urchins, stunning fish. The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and facilitated an awesome tour. I would trust these guys with my life (and felt like I had to!!) I was stung by a jellyfish on the tour and I started having my lips turn blue and shaking uncontrollably. I had a panic attack on the boat. They did everything in their power to make me feel happy and safe, even though they knew I was going to be fine. They managed the situation calmly, professionally and with speed. Within minutes of my severe reaction to the sting they turned the boat around to the nearest harbour and had the paramedics on their way to me. I was having trouble walking and they carried me off the boat to safety. A sting can happen to anyone on any tour. I’m so glad that if it happened to me it happened on this tour. These guys were legends. I would take my friends and family on this tour if I was to come back to Hawaii!

We booked a family trip with 8 and 12 year olds. Both kids were nervous, but the crew helped get them engaged and over the initial fear. Brian in particular was great with the kids and helped them make lifelong memories. We’ll most certainly book again when we return to the big island. One thing to note that seems obvious - you’re on the open ocean, so sea sickness is a real possibility….medicate self-select as needed. Highly recommend this experience!!
