Visit Mount Rainier National Park on this full-day tour. See waterfalls, old-growth forests, flowering meadows, and wildlife in their natural habitat. This experience on Mount Rainier makes your expected stops — but also ventures off the beaten path, with fantastic views and vistas, waterfalls, and park grounds. Walk or don't walk, you get the option. This tour travels all the way around Mount Rainier, and the different landscapes are fantastic. Four stops for trail walks and/or waterfalls are included. May, June and late Oct, may have snow at Paradise, roads will be clear, but may need to return same route, and we've added extra walks if this happens.

I am so sorry it took so long to write this review! I cannot speak highly enough of the experience we had with Cheryl's Northwest Tour, and our guide, Lyle. Lyle was so informative, lively, and respectful of our experience. We chose to book a tour, as opposed to go it on our own, due to the exorbitant cost of renting a car. We paid half of what a rental would cost, and walked away with so much more knowledge of the Seattle/Mt. Rainer area. Traveling with Lyle was like visiting your favorite aunt and hearing family stories with a colorful and different take. Lyle even indulged our love of old cemeteries and gave us an impromptu detour. Cheryl runs a very tight, courteous operation. Do not let cost dissuade you, it is worth every cent.

Our private Mt. Rainier tour gave us a rest from driving ourselves and also flexibility to stop when we wanted to along the way. Although it was a hot and hazy day, our tour guide, Llyle, made the day special. She shared lots of good stories about the park, Seattle and the state of Washington. She stopped a few times on the way to the park so we could take pictures of interesting roadside sights. We went two places for short hikes, and Llyle told us to take whatever time we wanted. When the parking lots were full in the park, she found a solution so we didn't have to skip anything or walk from distant parking areas. The SUV for the tour was quite comfortable, and water and snacks were provided. On a group tour, we would have felt we needed to wear face masks all day, but this private tour made us feel safe, since our guide had been vaccinated. This tour is something you could drive and do on your own, but it was relaxing to leave all the logistics to someone else.
