I’m from Montgomery county but moved to Palm Beach before the museum was built. I’m DAR and am still researching lineage to patriots. I enjoyed the exhibits during a trip ‘home’, it brought to life so many things that i knew but this is a visceral connection.

Well worth the ticket price. Very informative and efficient. Took about 2 hours while spending moderate time reading and following the presentations of each section. Could be done within an hour or hour and a half but superficially and of course could take several hours if you take the time to read everything and go through exhibit. I learned many new aspects of the road to Independence that I was not aware of. Very happy with the experience and value. The ticket is good for 2 days if you really want to get into it big time. This place seem to be the highlight of all the attractions as far as the historical stuff goes for us.

I’ll be perfectly honest—the Washington’s Tent movie and display is what made this museum worth the price of admission—what an incredible feat of historic preservation and value! The rest of the museum was really well one, but it is a lot of reading displays and not very interactive. We went towards the end of a long day of sightseeing and while I was thrilled with the movie, I got a little bored as I walked through the rest of the museum. Maybe I’d have enjoyed it more earlier in the day? Overall opinion is that if I only had time to do one museum in Philly, I’d choose the National Constitution Center every time over this one, although I’d pay the admission price just to pop in and see the Washington’s Tent movie!
