The city tour was REALLY good...our guide was engaging and very knowledgable. This part of the tour lasted 90-min which I thought was going to be long and drawn out, but the time went quickly. The trip out to NASA was OK. Again, our driver was good and very friendly, but the amount of time spent (4-hours) at the center was not enough. We were there at a time that wasn't really crowded - we went straight to the tram for the comprehensive tour because that is what all of the reviews said to do. The wait was 75-min and the tour itself was supposed to be 90-min but lasted almost 2-hours. By the time we got back, we didn't have enough time to do anything else. The center closes at 5 and we had to be back at our bus by 4. If you have to wait in line for the tram...have someone from your party go get sandwiches etc for lunch and eat while you were are in line. We made the mistake of thinking we could eat a late lunch after the tour and by the time we got back the food court was closed! None of this is the tour company's fault...but I guess my only suggestion would be to have the tour bus stay until the center closes to make sure people have enough time to see more of it. OR don't couple the NASA tour with the city tour so you can get to the space center when they open. Bottom line we will go back to Houston and will go back to the space center since there is still so much there that we didn't get to see.

My 14 year old daughter and I visited on a Friday. It was busy, but not "overwhelming" crowded. We did have to wait quite a while for the Tram Tour, but we still were able to visit most of what we wanted in the time we had (we were on a Houston City tour and had to catch a shuttle bus back to downtown). The new display with 747 with Enterprise mounted on top was really fantastic!! Wish the Mission Control stop on the tour had a bit more substance. Overall this 40-something was happy. I do lament how today's elementary and high school students don't have a space program to follow as closely as my generation lived the Space Shuttle Era and those before me had Apollo, Gemini, Saturn, Mercury, etc. I'm glad we made time for this as part of our long weekend in Houston.
