This tour was very good. Tour guide for city tour was good. The open air bus was comfortable. The NASA JSC tour was good. Tram tour to training center and control room is a must. I also got to touch a moon rock. Finally got to see the preparation to go to Mars on Orion. Worthwhile trip

I was a bit taken aback when the "bus" pulled up on the corner outside the hotel. I say "bus" in quotations because it wasn't a bus, it was a modified van with extra seats, narrow aisles and clearly had the top of it sawn off to make it open. That being said though, I actually really enjoyed the tour and the tour guide. I found it to be extremely informative and the guide to be very enthusiastic about the city. The NASA bit is where they really could have used some time management though. Really the main reason for the city tour and NASA was because it was a cheaper way of getting there and you see more than what you would if you just took a cab that whole way. We didn't arrive to NASA until 12:30 and were told to jump straight in line for the 90 minute tram tour...the part that no one told us though was how long the line actually would/could be. We waited for over 2 hours to get on the tram and then the tour was 90 minutes which was the entire 3.5 hours we had there and then some. Luckily they held the bus for all of us that got stuck (45 minutes later) after I called and let them know what was happening. I suggested a second shuttle for all of us that were stuck (which was minimum 8 people), but they vetoed the idea and held the shuttle instead. By time I arrived to the bus, I felt horrible that they had been waiting so long and I'm gutted I didn't get to see the rest of the center. I would have thought that going in a group like we were that they could have planned it better with either some sort of express passes for the tour (if they even do that) or even by starting the tour earlier OR doing NASA first. I would be hesitant to recommend this to anyone who actually cared about seeing the center.

Thank you for your feedback on our NASA Space Center and City Sightseeing Tour. I am sorry our transportation did not meet your expectations. We have various vehicles we use depending on the size of the tour. We are happy you enjoyed the information our tour guide gave and hope you learned interesting facts. Depending on the day of your tour, your NASA experience can vary. The weekend are going to be more busy than during the weekdays, and that is not something we can control. We hope you come back to visit with us again on our various tours.

After a pleasant tour of downtown Houston we were taken to the Space Center where our guide instructed us to go directly to our 90-minute tram tour where we had to stand in line for two and a half hours before boarding the tram! The tram made 3 stops. The 1st at the 1969 mission control center where we are told how lovely it will be when restored for 50th anniversary of Apollo moon landing. The second at space station training facility, and the third at the rocket park displaying two rockets outside and the Saturn rocket ship housed inside, which was quite impressive in its size. We were hurried, however, concerned of missing our tour bus return. Our time waiting in line kept us from seeing the rest of the space center exhibits. One would be much better off going on your own and budget your own time. There was little reward for such a long wait in line. I feel the tour operator was negligent in withholding the realities of the time constraints.
