The route we take on the Cumberland is approximately 3 miles and usually takes around 90 minutes, depending on the current speed and weather conditions. Plan for 90 minutes on the water and 30 minutes for loading and preparation. This section of the Cumberland is typically calm, making it perfect for first-time kayakers. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and capture amazing photos along the way!

Hello! My boyfriend and I were visiting Nashville for the weekend during the CMA fest. We were lucky to try out Big Willie's Action Sports and it ended up being just the two of us and the two tour guides for our 10 am trip. It was both of our's first time using paddleboards although my BF has a lot more experience with water sports. The guides were really friendly and approachable and made the trip that much more fun. Getting used to the paddleboards was surprisingly easy. I would recommend wearing cheap sandals to get on and off the paddleboard and a swimsuit, lots of sunscreen and a hat for the trip. The guides will demonstrate how to use the paddleboard, and it's really easy to get used to. I would definitely suggest sitting on the paddleboard when a boat comes by because the waves can be pretty rough to balance on. If you fall in the water, it's really easy to get back on the board. The tour went through East Nashville and it was a really peaceful scenic route. The tour can also go through to downtown Nashville. Overall, I highly recommend the tour! It was a great price and a great experience.
