This is my first time in New Orleans, so it was a great opportunity to get some living history during my stay. Absolutely dress for comfort and safety. I wore sneakers that protected my feet from the dirt, random water spray and chipped rocks around the streets. Luckily we had a breeze and low humidity, so it was perfect weather for walking outdoors. Our tour started at 10:30am. We preferred to not eat beforehand, but probably should have gotten a proper breakfast. Our tour guide, Kristi is a well of information. She made it easy to understand the different terms and origins of NOLA.

Walking history and just walked us to the spots to get our food. Bring an empty stomach because the food is good and filling and offers the best of New Orleans food is known fare. Loved the etouffe and the gumbo.Jack was our guide na she pointed out some stores we later went to shop for a particular gift, some other food establishments along the way to try and recommended jazz spots for music. Very energetic about a mile maybe two walking so not too much strain. Very enjoyable walk around the quarter and good historical in addition to the good food.

We had a great time on this tour! Nate was a wonderful guide with heaps of interesting facts, stories and history. The food covers all the NOLA bases, is tasty and there's a heap of it.
