This was a great tour, my group and I learned a lot on this tour. Brian was a very energetic tour guy and was filled with a lot of information. There is a fair amount of walking and the sidewalks are uneven in a lot of spots so wear good walking shoes and bring water.

Tours by Steven had excellent customer service. I had a few questions and Steven himself called me back right away. The tour was organized and informative. It is located within walking distance from the St. Charles Street Car line, which is a fun way to travel to and from and only $1.25. Steve was our guide. You will see some "for tips only" guides for the cemetery, but Stevens is registered with the city so I think that's a safe route for everyone.

I selected this walking tour of the Garden District as it was the top rated, and it did not disappoint. There were 5 of use and we all really enjoyed the tour (personally one of my favorite tourist activities we did during our visit). Jamey was our guide and was very knowledgeable, fun, easy to listen to and had great stories. We spent about 45 minutes in the cemetery learning about the unusual burial process in New Orleans then walked around the Garden District seeing all the different architecture while learning the history of the houses and area. The best part about the tour was it felt as though we were just walking around having a conversation with Jamey versus being herded from one spot to the next which some tours can feel like. Just a note you are standing/walking the whole time, there is no where to sit down for people who have trouble standing.

Thank you! We are so happy to hear that your time in the Garden District with Jamey felt like a stroll with friends. The combination of Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 and the neighborhood provide a really unique tour experience that gives you great insight into the early Americans in New Orleans. Jamey loves sharing New Orleans with visitors. We hope the next time you find yourself in NOLA we can show you around some more. THANK YOU!
