This neighborhood and its cemetery tells the story of New Orleans from the Louisiana Purchase to the Civil War. Stunning antebellum mansions, lush gardens, unforgettable stories, and beautiful photo opportunities await! We keep our group size under 12 guests to make in a fun, personal experience.

Renee was awesome! She was so entertaining and SO knowledgeable. I appreciated her history lesson and unique perspective as a local and Native. This was so fun, 10/10.

Yes, Renee IS awesome! She really knows her stuff, but the way she shares all her stuff is what makes her tours so enjoyable. She is New Orleans through and through, but also sees the quirks and ironies and charming flaws of her home city. Highly entertaining and engaging tour by Libby! Just the right balance of walking and hanging out in the shade. Highly recommend for those interested in history and architecture. We learned a lot and this is my third time on a garden district tour.

The tour was nice and informative. I was the only one on my tour, so I got lots of attention. The tour guide explained the history of the district as a whole, and also individual houses and their original owners. The houses of famous people were also pointed out like Sandra Bullock, Zion Williams, Anne Rice, and John Goodman. The tour guide also had an extra rain pancho that she gave me when it rained because I forgot my umbrella. Overall it is a very good tour for the price.

Thanks for your review of your "private" tour of the Garden District! I am glad your guide had a poncho, as there are very few places in the neighborhood to hide when the skies open up! The Garden District is lovely, historical, and offers some great examples of 19th Century architecture, but is also full of great stories.
