This neighborhood and its cemetery tells the story of New Orleans from the Louisiana Purchase to the Civil War. Stunning antebellum mansions, lush gardens, unforgettable stories, and beautiful photo opportunities await! We keep our group size under 12 guests to make in a fun, personal experience.

Renee was very knowledgeable and pleasant as a guide on this tour. We really enjoyed the beautiful homes, landscaping and all the historical information she provided. After spending several days in the French Quarter, we enjoyed walking through this much less congested and cleaner area. Our teen girls seemed to enjoy it quite a bit as well. And it is close to the shops and cafes nearby on Magazine Street. Our tour started out a little drizzly but Renee even had individual umbrellas for us! So thoughtful… definitely recommend this tour to make your New Orleans trip more well rounded.

Had a fantastic time with Jackie, our tour guide. She was friendly, informative and looked for all the shady spots to stop on a very hot, humid June day. We had a resident stop to talk and she was not only willing to take a few extra minutes to visit with this interesting man, she was conversant about everything he talked about as well! We learned a lot and had a great time; felt more like neighbors taking a gossipy walk than voyeurs. She also directed us to a house that was being filmed down the street after the tour....a fun extra touch on our girl's trip

Thanks for this excellent review and rating! EVERYONE loves walking with Jackie! She knows the neighborhood and has a wonderful sense of humor and storytelling ability. Shade is important in the Garden District on a hot day, and so is a leisurely pace and friendly chats with locals. Please come walk with us again! Libby
