We did the Garden District tour with Jackie. There were a total of only four people on the tour so it felt very intimate and was easy to ask questions. Jackie was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave just the right mix of history and anecdotes. She was a wealth of inside information about the various homes we viewed. The tour lasted two hours and never was boring or slow. If you are looking for a very informative tour of the Garden District, I highly recommend Lucky Bean tours.

Thanks! Jackie has a full life, so we are always grateful when she can give a Lucky Bean tour. She is a native who has lived uptown for decades, and has a deep understanding of New Orleans history and culture. We met Josh at Gracious Bakery (easy place to meet and good muffins to boot!). We were lucky enough to have him by ourselves as the other participants cancelled. A real personal tour. He was excellent. He is a student of history and knew so much about New Orleans. Josh was gracious, funny and just so knowledgeable. If you get him as your tour guide, consider yourself lucky! By the way, this group does small groups only which is so much better than being herded with 20 other people as you can't ask questions in time but have to listen to everybody else's stupid questions. This tour is the BEST.

I am laughing about the "stupid questions!" I don't know why or how, but we really get top-notch, interested and interesting travelers on our tours all the time. We keep our groups small, so we are able to encourage questions and customize our stories to the interests of our guests. The guests, in turn, write excellent reviews like yours, and more high-quality travelers book. It really works! I agree that Josh is a dream tour guide. All his guests walk away with a deeper understanding of New Orleans culture that was presented in a fun, easy manner. Please come take another of Josh's tours as soon as you can. Josh was a fantastic tour guide! Very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour of the Garden District! We highly recommend it!
