Bruce is an absolutely exceptional history scholar, and he makes every tour a learning and sensory amazing experience. We have done 3 tours with him and have learned more than we ever knew about the city’s history and about the places and people who made transformative change. I cannot recommend him highly enough. We have greatly enjoyed every visit with him and plan to do more when we return.

Wow. This tour was hands down one of the best I've ever taken - and I take a lot of historical tours. Bruce's deep knowledge, well-researched anecdotes, memorized passages and quotes, and passion for history will bring the formative first days of the US alive. Whether you're visiting New York and about to see Hamilton on Broadway, or were born and lived here all your life - you will never see the downtown streets of Manhattan the same again. If you want to feel like you're Nicolas Cage in National Treasure on a Saturday afternoon, that's all good too. Bruce brings olds maps, knows the little-known details about Revolutionary stories and leads you along old stomping grounds from Old Amsterdam in 1600s. Absolutely a must see tour!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciated your enthusiasm and interest in the tour. Yes, most New Yorkers who have visited Lower Manhattan many times or worked there for years generally don't know much of the history that occurred on those epoch-making streets. Thank you for your recommendation. I hope to see you again on another tour. All the best, Bruce
