This was my first architectural walking tour in New York and what a brilliant way to reconnect with the city that I have loved since the first time I visited when I was 11.
The content was incredibly engaging and varied and it was brilliant to hear about a mix of old and new buildings, as well as their historical context. Added bonus was definitely getting a sneak peak into one of the new residential conversions on Wall Street and having access to the rooftop terrace.
Seeing 40 Wall Street, 60 Wall Street, American International Building and One Chase Manhattan Plaza from this privileged view was so special to me as I never imagined I would be getting a chance to view these iconic buildings from such an exclusive location.
Thank you to Ivan for reminding me why I love New York so much and I cannot wait to come back and join you for another tour.

I took a fantastic tour of the financial district with Ivan Shumkov, who turned out to be not a guide, but much more: in fact it was a traveling university lecture on architecture. And in addition, he gave us a tour of the inside of a skyscraper (rooftop with swimming pool) not normally accessible as it is privately owned!
