Our guide, Morgan, was super fun as were the other quests on the tour. The breakfast burrito at Nitro was very, very tasty. The short ribs and prickly pear margarita at Perro Salgado were my favorites. I would highly recommend the tour.

Really fun way to explore Newport. Our tour guide was upbeat and fun and generous with their knowledge. However, I took some stars off because as a vegetarian, the options were super limited and I got pretty basic food. Those with meat on the tour seemed really happy though! And the alcohol pairing option was underwhelming. I think it would of been really awesome to have more “local food.” Like chowder or something as a nice local touch. But hey! We definitely went to spots that we wouldn’t of on our trip. And we had a lot of fun. Also major note to double check the address because unfortunately we went to the wrong location to start because the internet brought us to the wrong starting point. All in all, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you’re a meat eater!

Thank you for taking our tour and the time to leave a review. We are glad to hear your guide provided an entertaining and fun experience for you. We acknowledge it can be challenging when you have dietary restrictions and there are not always a lot of options. Although we do take you to a cafe that specializes in vegetarian dishes and our guides are always willing to make suggestions for specific restaurants and food not on our tour. However, we are clear on our website and on our ticketing that we do our best to accommodate specific diets but it is not always possible. That all said, we offer culturally diverse tastings from a local neighborhood where the locals enjoy going. All of our restaurants are small locally owned businesses some with limited menus and we have always been able to provide an alternative that has been satisfying to our vegetarian guests. In fact, we had a group of women recently that were on our tour that were so thrilled with the vegetarian option at one restaurant, we bumped into them buying quarts of a stew that was served to take home. Although it isn’t possible to have clam chowder on the tour right now we have had it in the past but since it has clams in it, it would not satisfy most vegetarians but we recognize that not every tasting is for everyone, we all have a different pallet. Regarding the alcohol tastings, they are specifically chosen to pair with the food which includes a beer, cocktail & wine. Our tours are meant to enjoy with family and friends both old and new, going to places they might not have tried otherwise, learning new things along the way, offering a different experience from the more touristy areas and taking you off the beaten path of Newport. At the end of the day we’re happy to hear it was a “Really fun way to explore Newport.”

We just had the best food tour ever with Our guide Sarah. She took us to some great places where we had never been in all the years of our coming to Newport. It was great to discover another side of Newport. She knew her history of Newport which was intermingled with the foodie side of the tour, also adding information about each stop. I highly recommend this tour and hope you get Sarah as your guide. 10 stars on a scale of 5.
