  • Audio Tours - Bring your phones and headsets! To listen to the self-guided tour, group members must bring their own smart device with earbuds/headsets and download the tour from the Newport Mansions app. It is highly recommended to download the app and open the app to download the tour before you arrive. If you do not have headphones, you may read the tour transcript in the app or pick up a printed script at the mansion.

Visit the opulent summer cottage of Alva & William K Vanderbilt. *As of January 3, 2022 all Preservation Society of Newport Mansions are requiring proof of vaccines for all children aged 5 and up. As of January 15, 2022 all adults must also show proof of their Booster Vaccines. This policy is No Exceptions!

The audio facts We found most satisfying. We all however thought the 1:15 at the mansion was to short , we advise you to make the time at the mansion 2 hours

Friends and I visited Newport to take the a trolley tour and visit the Marble house. It was a picture perfect day with lots of sunshine and gorgeous views. Our tour guide, Larry, was excellent!!!! He was funny, knowledgeable and very personable. He not only pointed out the historical facts, he added a lot of current information regarding tv filming and shows. At the end of the tour, Larry even pointed out the best places to eat in the area that the locals frequent. We had a great time!!

The ride was very enjoyable, the driver was courteous and accommodating. He shared lots of local history. The Marble House was really grand in scale and decoration. I particularly loved the history of the outer building designed and built for suffragette meetings.
